Great House/Pet Sitting Site Just for Mexico

One of the things that I like to do with the blog is to highlight useful websites and mobile applications related to Mexico. I recently came upon a relatively new website that impressed me so much that I decided to dedicate a post to it.

HouseSitMexico.com

Prior to moving to Mexico, Linda and I entertained the idea of house sitting for people in Mexico as a way to see the country on a budget. We even joined one of the big house sitting sites but we were discouraged by the fact that so few of the properties were in Mexico. Whenever we did manage to find a property, the competition was fierce and we were never selected.

I guess that’s why I was so happy to hear about a house/pet sitting site dedicated 100% to Mexico: HouseSitMexico.com.

For Homeowners in Mexico

This is a great resource for homeowners who divide their time between Mexico and their home country. Now you will know that your home is safe and cared for while you’re away. When a pipe breaks in the middle of the night, someone will be there to take care of it immediately.

This resource is especially useful to pet owners who would like to travel but don’t want to board their animals. Now your animals will be less stressed, can remain in their home environment, and you can call to check on them regularly.

For House/Pet Sitters

This is an awesome way to see different parts of Mexico on a budget — even for homeowners. You could have someone stay in your house while you house sit somewhere else in Mexico.

Let’s Wrap This Up

The owner of the site was kind enough to give me full access to the member’s section of the site in order to be able to write a complete review. I have to say, I was very impressed with the overall layout, the ease of use and the advanced search features.

Take a look for yourself and be sure to read through the FAQ for more details about the service: HouseSitMexico.com

We love this idea and have thought of looking into it more in the past. I don’t see any listing for the Akumal,Tulum areas. Will more adverts pop up once we signed up as members? Thanks, Paul.

  4. This is exactly what we need in the Akumal/Tulum area. For a long time, we took turns returning to the States so one could stay behind and care for our “babies.” Finally, we asked a friend but you don’t want to overdo it. I’d even thought of starting a coop service here in Bahia. Thanks for this info!

  5. I am using this site to housesit in Ajiijic in May 2017. Highly recommend
